National Cancer Institute launched pilot of its Community Cancer Centers program
On Jun. 14, 2007, the National Cancer Institute (NCI) launched the 3-year pilot phase of a new program that will helped bring state-of-the-art cancer care to patients in community hospitals across the U.S.
The NCI Community Cancer Centers Program (NCCCP) was designed to encourage the collaboration of private-practice medical, surgical, and radiation oncologistラwith close links to NCI research and to the network of 63 NCI-designated Cancer Centers principally based at large research universities.
