World’s oldest evidence dating to 23000 BCE for the earliest small-scale plant cultivation was discovered by Dani Nadel and colleagues at a site on the shores of the Sea of Galilee known as Ohalo II. The site included half a dozen brush huts and many types of charred fruits and nuts, such as almonds, grapes and olives, all now major crops.
