On Jan. 25, 2022, the U.S. Department of Agricultureﾒs National Veterinary Services Laboratories announced a study with zoos and aquariums to identify animal species that may be susceptible to SARS-CoV-2.

The study also assessed biosecurity practices used to identify successes and challenges in mitigating SARS-CoV-2 spread, and any role peridomestic wildlife may play.
