
Unique biorepository stores samples from Alberta COVID-19 patients for future research
On Dec. 8, 2021, Alberta announced it can track the prevalence of COVID-19 infections in nearly 75 per cent of the population thanks to the Pan-Alberta Network for Wastewater-based SARS-CoV-2 Monitoring.
The Pan-Alberta Network for Wastewater-based SARS-CoV-2 Monitoring is a partnership between the two universities, Alberta Health, Alberta Health Services and the participating municipalities. The Government of Alberta has provided $3.4 million to fund the project.
