The University of Calgary was founded
On Apr. 29, 1966, the University of Calgary (UCalgary) was founded as the Calgary branch of the University of Alberta. Today it hosts over 28,000 students with over 80 academic programs and 36 research centers and institutions.
The U of C is one of Canada’s top research universities and has a sponsored research revenue of over $250 million.
