The Priestley Medal was awarded to Peter J. Stang
On April 9, 2013, the American Chemical Society (ACS) awarded the Priestley Medal to Peter J. Stang “for his distinguished service in the field of chemistry,” the Society’s most prestigious award.
Dr. Stang at the University of Utah, is recognized for his cutting-edge research in supramolecular chemistry that has had implications for many areas of science, including drug development and more efficient ways to produce gasoline and home heating oil.
