The OHSU/OSU Collaborative Life Sciences Building broke ground
On Oct. 13, 2011, the OHSU/OSU Collaborative Life Sciences Building (CLSB) broke ground on the new $295 million facility and placed portions of Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU), Oregon State University (OSU) and Portland State University (PSU) under one roof.
The CLSB is located on OHSU’s Schnitzer Campus at Portland’s South Waterfront. The 498,642-square-foot building included lecture halls, classrooms, labs, specialty research centers, offices and a state-of-the-art facility for the OHSU School of Dentistry.
The CLSB project was funded with $110 million in state bonds through the Oregon University System, $83 million in OHSU philanthropy funds, $92 million in OHSU institutional funds, and $10 million in TriMet funds.
