The National Cancer Institute Director’s Consumer Liaison Group was established

On Nov. 6, 1997, the National Cancer Institute Director’s Consumer Liaison Group was established to advise and provide recommendations to the NCI Director from the perspective and viewpoint of cancer advocates on a wide variety of issues, programs, and research priorities and to maintain strong collaborations between NCI and the advocacy community.
