On Feb 8, 1971, the NASDAQ Stock Market was founded as the world’s first electronic stock market by the National Association of Securities Dealers.

The NASDAQ system, created by the Bunker Ramos Corp. allowed the financial community, for the first time, to determine which market offered the best price on a given security.
