The Energy Policy Act was signed into law, authorizing incentives for bioethanol development
On Aug. 8, 2005, the Energy Policy Act ( P.L. 109-58 ) was passed by the U.S. Congress and signed into law by President George Bush authorizing numerous incentives for bioethanol development.
This act was the first major energy law enacted in more than a decade, and makes the most significant changes in Commission authority since the New Deal’s Federal Power Act of 1935 and the Natural Gas Act of 1938
