The American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene was founded
In 1903, American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (ASTMH) was founded. The current organization was formed in 1951 with the amalgamation of the American Society of Tropical Medicine and the National Malaria Society, founded in 1940.
The ASTMH, is the largest international scientific organization of experts dedicated to reducing the worldwide burden of tropical infectious diseases and improving global health.
