In 2012, Samantha Lewis, a senior in the Oregon State University College of Science, won the Society for Molecular Biology and Evolution Undergraduate Diversity Mentoring Award, the society’s highest honor for undergraduates.

She was chosen from a field of hundreds of nominees from around the entire world.
