Researchers at the Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto halted cancer growth by targeting cancer stem cells
On Dec. 1, 2013, researchers at the Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto, led by Dr. John Dick, announced they had halted cancer growth by targeting cancer stem cells. Dr. Dick pioneered the cancer stem cell field by first identifying leukemia stem cells (1994) and colon cancer stem cells (2007).
