Research collaboration launched to focus on repurposing existing anti-viral therapies to treat COVID-19
On Feb. 4, 2022, a new ᆪ1.6m collaborative project was launched to rapidly identify new treatments for COVID-19. The project, led by Queenメs University Belfast and funded by the Medical Research Council, brought together experts from Queenメs, the University of Liverpool and the University of Oxford.
The team planned to use a data-driven approach to identify novel drug combinations that were effective in tackling SARS-CoV-2, the causative agent of COVID-19.
