President George W Bush signed PL 107-109 – S 1789, the Best Pharmaceuticals for Children Act
On Jan. 4, 2002, President George W. Bush signed P.L. 107-109 – S. 1789, the Best Pharmaceuticals for Children Act. This legislation was designed to improve the safety and efficacy of pharmaceuticals for children, by reauthorizing legislation that encourages pediatric drug research by giving drug companies an incentive of 6 months of additional market exclusivity to test their products for use in children.
