On Jul. 15, 2020, four Einstein and Montefiore research teams received pilot funding from Einsteinﾒs Office of the Dean to advance their projects targeting COVID-19. Initiated with a $1 million challenge grant from Michael F. Price and the Price Family Foundation, dozens of major donors and foundations, including several members of the Board of Trustees and the Einstein Womenﾒs Division, contributed to ensure $2 million was raised and the funds distributed.
