Pfizer and BioNTech announced supply the European Union with 200 million additional doses of COMIRNATYᆴ

On Feb. 17, 2021, BioNTech announced an agreement with the European Commission (EC) to supply an additional 200 million doses of COMIRNATYᆴ, the companiesメ COVID-19 vaccine, to the 27 European Union (EU) member states. The EC had the option to request supply of an additional 100 million doses.

The new agreement was in addition to the 300 million doses that had already been committed to the EU through 2021. The additional 200 million doses were expected to be delivered in 2021, with an estimated 75 million to be supplied in the second quarter.
