On Nov. 23, 2021, Oxitec announced the successful completion of the mosquito release phase of its landmark project with the Florida Keys Mosquito Control District.

All Oxitec mosquito boxes were removed from participantsﾒ properties. Monitoring of the project continued into 2022.
