In 1994, Omeros Corp. was founded in Seattle as a biopharmaceutical company committed to discovering, developing and commercializing products focused on inflammation and disorders of the central nervous system.

The company launched its Initial Public Offering (IPO) in 2009 at $10.00 per share and raised $62.1 million in net proceeds. In 2014, Omeros received U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval of Omidriaﾙ for use in cataract and other intraocular lens replacement procedures.
