On Apr. 20, 2007, the National Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program Reauthorization Act of 2007 allowed states to apply for federal waivers to spend a greater share of funds on hard-to-reach underserved women.
This bill authorized funding up to $275 million by 2012; $201 million was authorized for 2007. (P.L. 110-18).
