Murray J Shear coined the term “cocarcinogen”
In 1938, Murray J. Shear of NCI reported that a basic fraction of creosote oil enhanced the production of mouse tumors. He termed this fraction to be a source of a “cocarcinogen.” Shear was inspired in this search by the work of Dr. William Coley, considered to be the モFather of Cancer Immunotherapy.ヤ
