On Dec. 21, 2022, Moderna announced the the finalization of a strategic partnership with the United Kingdom (UK) government to establish a state-of-the-art mRNA research, development, and manufacturing facility in the UK.

This milestone followed the agreement in principle between Moderna and the UK, announced in June, 2022.
