On Oct. 2, 2017, The Nobel Assembly announced that Michael Rosbash, a HHMI investigator, Jeffrey Hall of Brandeis University and Michael Young of the Rockefeller University were recipients of the 2017 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for their discoveries of molecular mechanisms controlling the circadian rhythm.
