In 1998, Mammography Quality Standards Reauthorization Act continues 1992 Act until 2002. The Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) was enacted by the U.S. Congress on Oct. 27, 1992, to regulate the quality of care in mammography. The MQSA required mammography facilities across the nation to meet uniform quality standards.
