In 1998, the Mammography Quality Standards Reauthorization Act (MQSA) was passed by the U.S. Congress and continued the 1992 Act until 2002.
The MQSA) was enacted by the U.S. Congress on Oct. 27, 1992, to regulate the quality of care in mammography. The MQSA required mammography facilities across the nation to meet uniform quality standards.
