
Karmanos, Wayne State received $3.1 million NIH grant to improve quality of life for African American cancer survivors

On Sept. 24, 2019 Karmanos, Wayne State announced it had received a $3.1 million National Institutes of Health (NIH) grant to improve quality of life for African American cancer survivors with the “ARISE: African American Resilience in Surviving Cancer” study.
The ARISE study will identify the role interpersonal and individual influences have on the health-related quality of life for African American cancer survivors.
