Howard Martin Temin and David Baltimore were awarded the Nobel Prize in Medicine

In 1975, Howard Temin, professor of oncology in the McArdle Laboratory, and David Baltimore, fromm Massachusetts Institute of Technology, were awarded the 1975 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine with Renato Delbucco “for their discoveries concerning the interaction between tumour viruses and the genetic material of the cell.”
