On Sept. 28, 2020, the World Health Organization announced agreements to make available, for low and middle-income countries, affordable, high-quality COVID-19 antigen rapid tests by the Access to COVID-19 Tools (ACT) Accelerator. Organizations involved include the Africa CDC, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Clinton Health Access Initiative, Foundation for Innovative New Diagnostics, Global Fund, Unitaid, and the WHO.
