On Feb. 17, 2021, Moderna announced that the European Commission had purchased an additional 150 million doses of the COVID-19 Vaccine Moderna, which were scheduled to be delivered in the third and fourth quarter of 2021. This brought its confirmed order commitment to 310 million doses for delivery in 2021.
