COVID-19 vaccine from Washington University in St. Louis approved for use as booster in India
On Dec. 9, 2022, Washington University in St. Louis announced that it’s nasal COVID-19 vaccine technology had been approved for emergency use in India as a booster for people who had already received two doses of other COVID-19 vaccines.
In summer 2020, Washington University licensed the rights to develop, manufacture and commercialize the technology in India to Bharat Biotech International Limited, a global leader in vaccine innovation and a developer of vaccines for infectious diseases.
