Bt corn was introduced and adopted in the United States
On Mar. 15, 1996, Bt (Bacillus thuringiensis) corn, was first introduced by Monsanto and adopted in the United States Bt corn providing resistance to the European corn borer.
BT corn is a genetically modified organism or GMO that makes up over 90% of our current corn population.
