In 1975, Bristol-Myers researchers Miguel A. Ondetti and David W. Cushman created CAPOTEN (captopril) the first in a new class of high blood pressure agents called ACE (angiotensin-converting enzyme) inhibitors.

CAPOTEN was an important new medical discovery for the treatment of patients with high blood pressure.
