On Jun. 1, 2021, AquaBounty Technologies announced the regulatory approval of the Companyﾒs GE Atlantic salmon by Brazilﾒs National Biosafety Technical Commission (CTNBio).

CTNBio assessed AquaBountyﾒs application to ensure it met the relevant standards and regulatory requirements and concluded that the sale and consumption of AquaBountyﾒs GE salmon is safe for the environment and human health.
