Fifteen African countries hit 10% COVID-19 vaccination goal

On Sept. 30, 2021, the WHO announced that fifteen African countries – nearly a third of the continent’s 54 nations – had fully vaccinated 10% of their people against COVID-19.

The Delta variant had been found in 39 African countries. The Alpha variant had been detected in 45 countries and the Beta in 40.
