NIH scientists identified atomic structure of novel Coronavirus protein
On Feb. 19, 2020, NIAID scientists working with investigators from the University of Texas at Austin identified the atomic structure of an important protein on the surface of the novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2, formerly called 2019-nCoV). The findings were published in the peer-reviewed journal Science.
