The CDC confirmed person-to-person spread of new coronavirus in the U.S.

On Jan. 30, 2020, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) confirmed that the 2019 Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) had spread between two people in the U.S.. representing the first instance of person-to-person spread with this new virus here.

The latest 2019-nCoV patient had no history of travel to Wuhan, but shared a household with the patient diagnosed with 2019-nCoV infection on January 21, 2020.
