Washington University School of Medicine gifted $20 million to boost multiple myeloma research

On Nov. 29, 2018, St. Louis native Rodger Riney and his wife, Paula, donated $20 million to research teams at the Washington University School of Medicine to improve outcomes for those diagnosed with the blood cancer multiple myeloma. Riney founded the discount brokerage firm Scottrade and led the company until it was sold to TD Ameritrade in 2017.
