ACIP published updated recommendations on use of hepatitis A vaccine for pre- and post-exposure prophylaxis for international travel
On Nov. 2, 2018, the Immunization Practices Advisory Committee (ACIP) published updated recommendations on use of hepatitis A vaccine for pre- and post-exposure prophylaxis for international travel.
Postexposure prophylaxis (PEP) with hepatitis A (HepA) vaccine or immune globulin (IG) effectively prevents infection with hepatitis A virus (HAV) when administered within 2 weeks of exposure.
