On Jul. 30, 2015, Baylor Cancer Center received comprehensive designation from the National Cancer Institute (NCI). The Center was also renamed after Dan L. Duncan, a businessman and philanthropist, who contributed $100 million to the Baylor Cancer Center ensuring its growth and stability for years to come.
In 2006, the Center received the gift of $100 million from late oilman and philanthropist Dan Duncan, which provided the financial stability and resources to propel the Center toward ultimate success.
