On Oct. 21, 2015, the Omar Boraie Chair in Genomic Science was established at Rutgers Cancer Institute. The chair is named for New Brunswick developer Omar Boraie, who has made a $1.5 million pledge to support it.
Establishment of the Omar Boraie Chair was part of Rutgers University’s ’18 Chair Challenge’ campaign, in which an anonymous donor was providing a $1.5 million match to each of 18 new chairs resulting in a $3 million endowment each.
