Moores Cancer Center at UC San Diego opened new consolidated facility
On Apr. 8, 2005, Moores Cancer Center (MCC) at University of California, San Diego opened its new consolidated facility to consolidate cancer research and patient care under one roof. The 270,000 square foot facility united the Center’s clinical, research, education and outreach programs in one state-of-the-art building, designed both for the comfort of patients, and to foster and support 21st century diagnostics, medical care and research.
In 2001, it was granted Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center status by the National Cancer Institute (NCI).
