Moores Cancer Center at UC San Diego achieved NCI designated comprehensive cancer center status
In 1978, Moores Cancer Center (MCC) at UC San Diego achieved National Cancer Institute (NCI) designated comprehensive cancer center status. Established the same year, Moores Cancer Center is one of just 53 National Cancer Institute-Designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers in the United States, and the only one in the San Diego region.
MCC provides a multidisciplinary approach to cancer research and treatment. The 360 member scientists and physicians come from 22 University departments.
