In 1988, the U.S. Congress enacted the National Space Grant College and Fellowship program. The National Space Grant program, administered by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, is a national network that includes over 850 affiliates from universities, colleges, industry, museums, science centers and state and local agencies.
