In 1973, the Office of Biosafety, now known as the Division of Laboratory Systems (DLS) was established at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). In April 2016, the Department of Health and Human Servicesメ Clinical Laboratory Improvement Advisory Committee (CLIAC), declared clinical laboratory biosafety a モcritical unmet national need,ヤpdf icon and called upon the U.S. government to develop a biosafety strategy for clinical laboratories.
