Duke Cancer Institute opened the Duke Cancer Center, a new 7-floor building

On Feb. 27, 2012, the Duke Cancer Institute opened a new 267,000-square-foot, $235 million Cancer Center that included state-of-the art features such as a five-story atrium and a rooftop garden where patients can receive chemotherapy treatments.
The multidisciplinary environment allows the Duke Cancer Institute’s teams of specialists to collaborate more effectively and offer added convenience for the patients.
