In 1897, Cutter Laboratories was a pharmaceutical company located in Berkeley, California that was founded by Edward Ahern Cutter.

The company was aquired by Bayer in 1974, and later merged into Miles Laboratories. On April 1, 1995 Bayer eliminated the Miles brand name from all products and facilities.
