Remote Epigenetics is developing a natural chemistry alternative to glyphosate herbicide that addresses a $2 billion US non-selective herbicide market (total global glyphosate market is $9 billion). Initial greenhouse and field trials show excellent efficacy on small and large weeds. This is an important discovery as the herbicidally active ingredients are current human cosmetic and food ingredients (low toxicity and rapid registration), it represents a new mode-of-action that allows control of weeds resistant to current herbicides and provides an alternative to glyphosate and paraquat that generate significant consumer concerns due to their perceived impact on human health.
